Christmas Morning

Christmas jammies - matching pants and their own personalized shirt

Sharpies for Avery from Ethan and Gavin - she was soo excited!

Here are some pictures from Christmas morning. This year the kids opted to stay home instead of going on a trip (much against my wishes) so we stayed home and decorated the house, put gifts under the tree and woke up to filled stockings! The kids got jammies on Christmas Eve that each had their pictures and names on the shirts (my first attempt at iron-on transfer paper for the printer). Don't they look cute? The kids, not the jammies. Ok, the jammies too!

Christmas Break

This year we stayed home for Christmas. Cameron was home for most of the two weeks the kids were home from school so we were able to spend a lot of fun time together as a family. We started the break off by heading out to the Coast. We went to the Seaside Aquarium (where we fed the seals), walked around town, swam in the hotel pool and played at the arcade. On the way home, we toured the Tillamook cheese factory. We had a really fun time.

The Happiest Place on Earth

This year we took the kids to Disneyland to celebrate Ethan's 10th birthday and Avery's 8th birthday. We love Disneyland, so it was no surprise that we had another wonderful trip there. We took the kids out of school and flew down to Southern California for three days of fun at both California Adventure and Disneyland parks. We were all almost able to ride everything together. Gavin is still too short for California Adventure and Indiana Jones, but otherwise we were good to go. The weather was amazing, the lines were super short (actually, we walked on most everything) and the kids were great. Such great memories!

Being Thankful

This year for Thanksgiving we went to Utah and stayed with Cameron's brother Kirk and his family. On Thanksgiving Day, we went down to Provo to Kimberly's (Cameron's sister) house for dinner. During dinner, Kimberly had these leaves out for everyone to write on what they were thankful for. Over at the kids' table Gavin went to work on his leaf. So cute! Seeing his leaf made me grateful that I have a husband my children love and are thankful for!

LOOK WHO TURNED 8!

Beautiful 8 year old Avery!

How could my baby girl be 8 already?!? It really just seems like yesterday that we brought her home from the hospital. Not only is she 8, but she got baptized. We are so proud of you Avery! I am so lucky to be the mommy to this sweet and smart little girl. Love you Avery!

We had such a special day celebrating Avery's baptism. We were lucky to have Grandma and Grandpa Edwards and Gramma and Grampa Copa come and spend this special time with us!

BLOG, BLOG, BLOG!

My New Year's Resolution this year was to start a blog. Here we are just days away from December and I am finally able to check this goal off my list. Seriously, you would have thought this undertaking equivalent to climbing Mt. Everest with the stress and anxiety creating this thing caused. My biggest problem was committing to a name. I had names that I liked but was worried that I wouldn't like it once I got it started. (Yes, I have issues ordering food in restaurants, buying books I might not like and naming my children was a nightmare). I'm still worried about the name of this blog, don't get me wrong, but really there just aren't that many days in the year left. Now if only I could commit to Facebook!!!
